Its reverse flow design conserves water in the event of failure, while the diaphragm's self-cleaning ports prevent sand and silt from blocking valve action. With a brass shock cone for smooth operation and an internal manual bleed lever for easy maintenance, this valve is built to last with a high-strength glass-filled body and cover, 1/4" stainless steel cover bolts, and brass body inserts. The non-rising flow control stem allows for precise throttling from full open to closed position, making it excellent for low volume irrigation. The valve is also contamination-resistant thanks to its chlorine- and chloramine-resistant EPDM diaphragm material.
